The Moorings is a small cul de sac of holiday homes within a short stroll of SKibbereen town. A great location for exploring all the wonderful places and activities that West Cork has to offer. It takes just 5 minutes to walk from The Moorings into Skibbereen Town.
In all there are 10 detached houses in this part of the estate, all grouped together in one quiet and private cul de sac. Nine of the houses have 3 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 5 people in 1 x double bedroom, 1 x twin bedroom and a single bedroom. There is one four bedroom house that can accommodate up to 7 people and is wheelchair friendly. Downstairs is a double bedroom with ensuite with a wheel in shower and grab rails. PLEASE NOTE: there is no seat in the shower. There are grab rails by the toilet also. Upstairs are three other bedrooms (1 x double bedroom, 1 x twin bedroom and 1 x single bedroom).
The 4 bedroom house has a very small patio area accessed via the ground floor bedroom. It does not have a lawned garden out the back however there is grass at the front of the house).Gas & Electricity charges:
Please note that gas & eletricity are charged on a daily basis at the rate of €6.00 per day for the months of June, July and August and €8.00 per day for all other months of the year. This must be paid for in advance to Dream Ireland Holiday Homes.Pets Welcome
Pets are welcome on request and we have two dog boxes available for use during your stay. We would kindly request that pets be kept downstairs and away from the bedrooms. An additional charge of €25 euro per pet per stay will apply, this is payable onsite to the caretaker.Location
The Moorings are situated right on the edge of town, with restaurants, shops and nightlife all on hand, yet still only a short drive from the beach. Tragumna - Skibbereen Tragumna is a sandy, sheltered beach, situated about four miles from Skibbereen. It can be reached by turning off the R596 at Abisdealy bridge and following the signs for Tragumna. Public car parking, toilet facilities and lifebuoys are provided at the beach. Life guards are on duty during the bathing season.
Owenahincha - Roscarbery Roscarbery is approx 12 miles from Skibbereen. Owenahincha is a sandy beach that backs onto sand dunes. The main route to approach the beach is from Clonakilty on the N71. Turn off at Burgatia Cross onto the R598, which leads down to the beach. Public car parking and public toilet facilities are provided at the beach. Life guards are on duty during the bathing season. There is a short, pleasant cliff walk between the Warren Strand and Owenahincha.
Warren - Roscarbery The Warren is a sandy beach located at the mouth of Roscarbery Bay and accessed by turning off the N71 at Warren Cross. There is a pitch and putt club adjacent to the beach. Public car parking, toilet facilities and lifebuoys are provided at the beach. Life guards are on duty during the bathing season.

Approaching Skibbereen from the Cork side:
§ At the first roundabout take the 2nd exit sigposted for Killarney § Continue on the bypass until you reach the 2nd roundabout (it has a Bus Eireann garage on the corner) § Take the 3rd exit off this roundabout § The Moorings is located about 500 metres on the left hand side § Take a sharp left and you will see the Reception centre on your left.
If you are coming from the Killarney/ Bantry side, take the first exit off the very first roundabout you encounter, past the GAA grounds and take the turn on the left (approximately 500m) signposted for The Moorings. Take the fist sharp right hand turn into our holiday homes which are numbered 14-22.ON-SITE SUPERVISOR
